These tentacles come from the bowels of the earth not the nearby ocean. World War II Air Force Pilots would wait here in the underground rooms the tunnels connect to. – ready to disembark at a moments notice.       I’m glad you appreciate this photo. It is quite the odd looking building with its tentacles & doors at the end. I believe it goes quite a few stories down, but haven’t researched this yet. Quite the opposite to the remarkable lighthouse mentioned on your blog. I love the spiral paint job. I just visited an incredibly restored limestone lighthouse in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland. The location will be subject of some of my future paintings. I picked up a local magazine – it’s cover story – over 900 lighthouses for sale in Canada!
